Frequently Asked Questions

How do I make patterns snap to a grid?
Set the gap between writing lines to match the pattern's H/V spacing. For example, if your background grid is 5mm, set line gap to 5mm so the lines align perfectly.
Can I print in color or black & white?
The designer respects your printer settings. In the print dialog, choose color or grayscale based on your preference and printer capabilities.
What if I want to add text or a logo to my cover?
Print the cover design, then add text or logos in a word processor, or use the custom image background feature to include a graphic at the top.
Why do some controls disappear when I change settings?
Controls only show when they're relevant. For example, border color options appear only when a border style is selected.
Can I use this for project folders or binders?
Absolutely. Design a cover in your chosen size, print it, and use it on folders, binders, or as the first page of printed documents.
